As a design enthusiast, I have had the privilege of exploring various design technologies during my tenure at Parsons. Below are some of the projects I have undertaken that have helped sharpen my design skills, passion and dedication towards my creative practice.
I landed an opportunity to do my internship with Adidas in my last year of Under-graduation. Adidas has been in the industry since 1949 and I have always been a big sneaker freak so I was extremely grateful to get this opportunity.
During my time there I interned as a visual merchandising and experience designer. This experience allowed me to put my learnings to use outside the classroom environment and implement my knowledge in real life. It got to work hands-on in a professional environment, it gave me a direction to utilise my knowledge base, and expand it, by applying it in situations where the outcome is something that could affect a whole company and the real world. I gained actual work experience and it provided me with the building blocks for my future.
The success and final outcome of this internship required a lot of guidance and assistance from many people and I was extremely privileged to have gotten this all along the completion of my internship. Everything I did was only due to the great supervision and assistance I was provided by everyone in the team.
